The practice manages patients on the full spectrum of DMARDs and biologic agents, with medical-aid motivation support and structured monitoring bloods.

Early referral matters

For inflammatory arthritis, the first months are critical. Prompt specialist assessment and early DMARD initiation dramatically improves long-term joint outcomes. GPs are encouraged to refer any patient with unexplained joint swelling, morning stiffness lasting more than an hour, or a positive rheumatoid factor / anti-CCP.
